Astrid is a lowland settlement on Thasos. It is located in the southern part of the island, slightly inland, above the cape of Saloniki and on the ring road connecting Thasos with Limenaria, at an average altitude of 75 meters. It is approximately 43 km south-southwest of the island's capital.
In ancient times, it was the vineyard of Thasos, and numerous ancient ruins, mainly wine presses and wine storage facilities, reinforce this belief. After all, the settlement is famous for its wines.
The beaches of "Gkiola," "Kalami," and "Salonikios" are located south of the settlement, while "Psili Ammos" is situated to the west. The first forms an enclosed structure in the shape of a natural "pool."
Part of the plot (3,062.46 m²) is located within the settlement with a 44.32-meter frontage on asphalt, while the remaining 2,015.10 m² is located outside the settlement boundaries and is not buildable. The distance from the sea is 1,230 meters, with a buildable area of 400m², 60% coverage, and a height restriction of 7.5 meters plus the roof and mandatory tiled roof. Ideal for mild tourist development, holiday home, or why not permanent residence.
