Terms and conditions

*The original and legally binding version of these Terms and Conditions is the Greek text.

Car.gr (EL CAR GR IKE) is a hosting service provider for the distribution of products and services.

Car.gr provides its services under these Terms of Use described in detail below, which each visitor/user or advertiser or user’s representative of the website is kindly requested to read carefully. The receipt of Car.gr’s services means that the user has fully and unreservedly accepted the following terms and conditions (including the privacy policy), which they have understood in their entirety and which are in their entirety agreed and acknowledged as essential.

Registered or unregistered users of Car.gr’s services, that is visitors, members (with a personal or commercial account), the merchants of the Car.gr website and the registered businesses in our business directory, will hereinafter be referred to as “users” or “service recipients” and Car.gr will hereinafter also be referred to as the “Company” or “the intermediary hosting service.”

These terms and conditions govern and regulate the relations of Car.gr and the users.

1. Introduction

Car.gr provides to the site’s visitors/users a multitude of services which consist mainly in the hosting of private and professional advertisements, all kinds of information and advertisements, communication tools, search services, mass access of users, etc.

The entirety of the existing services as well as any new services that will be included on the site in the future are subject to these Terms of Use as they are updated each time and communicated to the service recipients. The user of the site’s services fully and without objection accepts that all of the site’s information/services are provided “as is” and Car.gr bears no liability with regard to limited temporal duration, the correctness of the information, deletion, poor performance, the inability of electronic storage of users’ data as well as any damage which may possibly be caused by the use of the site.

Indicatively and not exhaustively, Car.gr bears no responsibility:

  1. for the truthfulness and validity or not of the evaluations made for users (merchants) who have chosen for their rating to appear in a specific spot, as the display and updating of the ratings is the responsibility of Google and Car.gr cannot intervene in them;
  2. in the event of errors in texts and translations. In the event of a discrepancy between the original text and the translated one, the original shall prevail;
  3. for any service provided by users to other users through Car.gr, such as, by way of example, obtaining a loan, since the terms for the provision of such services constitute an object of agreement between the users without any intervention of Car.gr;
  4. for informing users of all possible ways of defrauding them, as the BUYER’S ADVISOR includes the methods of deception that have come to Car.gr’s knowledge and it takes care to update it;
  5. in the event of malfunction or erroneous operation of the advertisement search system as well as in the event of non-appearance of advertisements based on their real popularity even if this is due to a technical error, but as soon as it comes to its knowledge or after notification by the user to support@car.gr it acts as promptly as possible towards the rectification of the error;
  6. for errors in the details of users (merchants) that appear in the relevant Car.gr directory as these arise from the entries of the users themselves on Car.gr or are sourced from entries on the internet. Any user may, by application to support@car.gr, request the removal or correction of his/her details;
  7. for the accuracy of the average price of used items as the depiction of these is carried out through a process in which Car.gr does not intervene. In general, Car.gr is not liable for acts or omissions attributable to it even when due to gross negligence.

The use of the site is governed by the provisions of Greek Law, Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 and Law N5099/2024, which are binding for each user, who is obliged to comply with them. Additionally, the user is obliged to use the site’s content and services in accordance with Greek legislation, good morals and these terms, refraining from any action that may offend other users or create problems in the smooth operation of the site.

Car.gr is not involved in any way in the information that is transmitted or to which the user gains access and has no general obligation to monitor the information that is transmitted or stored nor a general obligation of active search for facts or circumstances that indicate illegal activity. In the event that it obtains actual knowledge or perceives and ascertains that it concerns illegal activities or illegal content, it acts immediately in order to withdraw the illegal content or to disable access to it. Car.gr may acquire actual knowledge or perceive the illegal character of the content, among others, through ex officio investigations or through algorithmic decision-making and review by humans, or through notifications submitted to it by natural persons or entities, to the extent that such notifications are sufficiently precise and there is reasonable suspicion of illegal activity or illegal content, sufficiently documented so as to enable a diligent economic operator to locate and assess reasonably and, where appropriate, to take measures against the alleged illegal content. However, such actual knowledge or awareness cannot be considered to be acquired exclusively for the reason that Car.gr generally knows that its service is used also for the storage of illegal content.

Furthermore, the fact that Car.gr automatically indexes information uploaded to its service, that it provides a search function or that it recommends information based on the profiles or preferences of the service recipients does not constitute sufficient reason to conclude that it has “specific” knowledge of illegal activities carried out on the platform or of illegal content stored on it. Since both the hosting of information and the automatic indexing of information that is uploaded, the search operation service and the recommendation of information based on the profiles or preferences of users constitute an automatic technical processing of information, in a neutral way, without Car.gr having knowledge or control of them. In conclusion, all information hosted on Car.gr that could potentially lead to a distance contract is not subject to any intervention, knowledge or control by Car.gr, and is provided exclusively by the users who are fully independent from Car.gr.

By using Car.gr each user gives his/her explicit and irrevocable consent to Car.gr so that it may have access to the messages exchanged between users in order to detect illegal behaviors for the protection of the interests of Car.gr, the users as well as third parties.

2. Registration terms & user obligations

A user who wishes to post advertisements or to register for the site’s services must declare his/her true, complete and valid personal details, as these are requested by the website for access to its contents and services, must diligently inform the site immediately of any change to the above details and must ensure that these details remain continuously accurate and complete. Car.gr reserves the right not to allow the user to make use of its services in the event that the provided information is not accurate, sufficient and truthful. The user has the right to raise objections by request to the website and to request the correction or deletion of his/her personal data, as well as his/her deletion as a user, via an electronic message in the website’s contact form.

3. Personal and Commercial Account

If you wish to receive our services in full you must first register on Car.gr by creating your personal or commercial account and you agree to enter the information requested for its creation.

If you register on Car.gr, you have the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of your personal password and account. By registering you accept full responsibility for all actions that will be executed through your personal or commercial account. In the event of loss or leakage of your personal password as well as its use without your permission you have the obligation to notify us immediately. You also have a duty of truthfulness for whatever personal or non-personal information you publish on Car.gr, while you are obliged on your own initiative to correct and update them in case they have been modified, by logging into your personal or commercial account. It constitutes a breach of these terms the use of the commercial account by a third person who is not connected by an employment relationship with the natural or legal person who is the beneficiary of the account as well as when the recipient of the service provided through that account is redirected in any way to a third natural or legal person, regardless of whether the recipient of the service consents to or approves it.

We bear no liability towards our users or any third party in the event that the information provided by our users or third parties in relation to personal or commercial accounts is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading or fraudulent. Unless otherwise agreed with Car.gr, you have the right to register and create only one personal or commercial account. The creation of an account either on behalf of another person or business or for the purpose of identity theft of another person or business is prohibited.

The user fully and unreservedly accepts that Car.gr reserves the right, whenever it deems and at its absolute discretion, and in accordance with what is set forth below, to delete his/her personal or commercial account at any time it deems that any of these terms and conditions of use are being violated or that there are illegal activities or illegal content.

4. Commercial Communications

After completion of the process of creating a personal or commercial account or the process of electronic ordering of products and/or services you accept receiving commercial communications, advertisements and/or content of a commercial nature or purpose regarding services of our company or third parties. Correspondingly, you give your consent pursuant to the law for the processing of your personal data for the aforementioned purposes.

When you visit Car.gr or send us an electronic mail, you communicate with us electronically and accordingly you consent to receive electronic communications from us. In this context our Company will carry out all necessary communications to you via your personal account or electronic mail or by other means for the purpose of responding to and possibly satisfying your requests.

5. Minor Users

By accepting these Terms of Use you declare that you are eighteen (18) years old or older. If your age is under eighteen (18) years but over thirteen (13) years, you have the right to use our services exclusively and only under the supervision of a parent or other guardian who accepts these terms. In any other case you cannot access our Website and use our services, while, correspondingly, our Company bears no responsibility for that use. Payment for services offered by the site is not permitted if you are under eighteen (18) years old.

If you are a parent or have custody of a minor who uses Car.gr, you bear full responsibility arising from that use, including any financial obligations arising therefrom.

6. Limitation of company liability

Car.gr makes every possible effort for the site’s services to be provided continuously and without technical problems. However, it is not liable and does not pay any kind of compensation in the event that there is a delay in the delivery time of the site’s products and services, that for any reason, including negligence, the operation of the site is interrupted or access to it becomes difficult and/or impossible or if the user’s subscription is not timely renewed, or it is inaccessible, or despite the security measures kept, “viruses” or other harmful software are detected and transmitted to users’ terminals, or if third unauthorized persons (hackers) intervene in the content and operation of the site, making its use difficult or causing problems in its operation.

Car.gr bears no responsibility for the legality, reliability or completeness of the information nor if maliciously a user posts an advertisement with another person’s details using e.g. phones, photos/videos, or name and surname that do not belong to them. It also bears no responsibility for websites that carry out phishing, i.e. actions deceiving users where the ‘perpetrator’ impersonates Car.gr, with the aim of unfair acquisition of personal data, such as sensitive private data and passwords.

Car.gr retains the exclusive right and the user accepts without reservation that it may interrupt (for example in case of upgrade, emergency or for restoration and repair) permanently or temporarily the operation of the site with or without notice to the users. Car.gr is not liable nor does it pay compensation for any loss, damage, material or moral harm arising from the deactivation of services, omissions or upgrades.

Car.gr retains the exclusive right and the user accepts it unreservedly, to interrupt (for example, in the event of an upgrade, emergency, or to repair it) permanently or temporarily the website function with or without notice to users. Car.gr is not responsible and it does not provide compensation for any loss, damage, moral or corporate damage resulting from the disabling of services, omissions or upgrades.

7. Notification and action mechanism - Point of contact for service recipients and involved authorities

If you believe that any content does not comply with the Usage Guidelines, is illegal or misleading, please fill in the form via the corresponding link that appears on each page (report advertisement). There the user can make notifications, comment, file a complaint, report anything they want regarding any information with illegal content. For example, someone will be able to comment that an advertisement is fake, or that it has the wrong price, is in the wrong category, that the product sold, etc. These comments are automatically sent to Car.gr, which in turn takes the corresponding actions. There is also the possibility to send comments or a report by sending an electronic mail to the electronic address support@car.gr as well as the possibility to call the telephone numbers 6932195338 or 6936131571. The languages of communication are Greek and English.

If Car.gr is notified that any content violates these Terms of Use, is illegal or misleading, Car.gr may, at its absolute discretion, take measures such as, for example, deleting advertisements, blocking a user. These notifications must be sufficiently precise and adequately substantiated so as to justify the adoption of measures. Car.gr, showing due diligence, checks whether the information content is illegal or not in a timely, diligently, non-arbitrarily and objective manner but without detailed legal examination. If the illegal content or illegal activity has not been adjudicated by a decision of a competent court or authority, then it is at Car.gr’s absolute discretion to evaluate the complaint, the position of the accused and to decide whether measures should be taken. In any case, for this decision it bears absolutely no compensatory liability towards the complainant or the accused for any settlement or other manner of resolution of their dispute or for the judgment regardless of any settlement or other manner of resolution of their dispute or of the judgment that judicial or other authorities may have. For the validity or not of the complaint the responsibility and the obligation to compensate lie respectively and exclusively with the complainant or the accused. Included in the above compensation of the aggrieved party is also the claim for restoration of any damages suffered due to the measures taken by Car.gr as a consequence of the complaint. The waiver by the users of any claim against Car.gr for the above cause is an essential term and condition for the use of Car.gr’s services. The same as above applies also in the event that our control systems render probable illegal content or illegal activity.

Beyond the above, the user of Car.gr’s services accepts and agrees that Car.gr may suspend the provision of the Services, in whole or in part, without being liable towards the user of the service or anyone claiming to represent them, when: (1) the service user violates the Acceptable Use Regulation, (2) the service user does not cooperate with the provider in an investigation for alleged breaches of this agreement, (3) Car.gr reasonably considers that third parties have access to, manage or use the servers that host the services without the provider’s consent, (4) Car.gr considers that suspension of services is necessary to protect its environment and infrastructure, (5) in case the service user’s website is the cause of problems in the provision of hosting services to other customers and users, (6) it is required by a competent authority. The same above point and contact process is defined for any authority, committee or council of Article 11 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065.

8. Intellectual property rights

The user/advertiser declares responsibly that the photos, texts, videos he/she posts on Car.gr constitute his/her intellectual property, that he/she holds every lawful right and that in no case do they infringe or are they free of any third party right. Otherwise he/she declares that he/she has obtained the consent of the photographer, video-creator of the protected photo/video and/or other lawful rights holders for any use of the photo/video (provided that such use does not fall within one of the exceptions expressly provided by Law) including further use by Car.gr as described in article 13 of this document. The Company has no liability with respect to the content of the above photos/videos as well as for any issue that may arise with said photos and texts.

The intellectual property rights of the content and services of the site, namely indicatively and not limited to the texts, advertisements, photos, videos, designs, commercial and financial data, programs, all kinds of files, signs/logos, are protected by Greek, Community and international copyright laws and belong exclusively to the Company, and are made available to users/visitors strictly for personal use.

Car.gr exclusively retains ownership of all rights, titles and interests (all intellectual property rights) (the look and feel (including the infrastructure) of the site through which the service is offered (including translated content)) and you are not entitled to copy, export, create links to, publish, promote, advertise, include, exploit, combine or otherwise use the content (including its translations and customer comments) or the Company’s trademarks (logo, slogan) as they are posted on Car.gr, without our express and written permission. To the extent that you (in whole or in part) use or combine our (translated) content or otherwise appropriate in any way any intellectual property right on the site or any (translated) content, by this you assign, transfer and surrender every such intellectual property right to Car.gr.

Furthermore, misleading the public about the actual provider of the site’s content as well as any copying, distribution, reproduction, transmission, transformation, announcement, dissemination, broadcasting, resale, creation of derivative works, provision of a direct link, use, copying, systematic or automated information collection activity, such as indicatively telephone scraping, video, photo, text scraping, data scraping, data mining, data extraction, data harvesting, presentation, downloading of any content or information of products or services available on Car.gr by any manner or means, for any commercial, competitive activity or other purpose without prior, specific and written permission of the Company or any other intellectual property right holder is prohibited. Any illegal use or any of the above actions or behaviors will constitute misuse of the Company’s intellectual property rights (including copyright and database right), which reserves the right to claim all positive and consequential damages incurred, in accordance with the provisions of the law. The website user accepts and recognizes that Car.gr has the possibility of commercial exploitation, either by itself or through a third party, of the totality of the content appearing on the site. Furthermore the user/advertiser undertakes the obligation to cover any damage (including possible expenses, judicial or other) that Car.gr may suffer from claims of any third party that are related in any way to the posting and display of the above photos, videos and texts.

Any alteration or other kind of intervention in Car.gr’s content or software as well as any attempt to undermine its technological soundness and functionality is not permitted. The use of meta tags or other similar techniques of “hidden text” composed of or containing the trade name, trademark and other distinctive signs of the Company is furthermore prohibited.

The publication of pirated products (copies of products, clones) is prohibited. The trade of animals by private individuals is prohibited and, according to Law 4039/2014 in force, a breeder’s license is required for those who sell animals, even in the case of possession of a single female breeding animal, even for amateur breeders of dogs or cats. The sale of dogs and cats in open public spaces is prohibited, including outdoor markets, since in such spaces it is not possible to ensure the necessary conditions for the animals’ well-being. The sale of dogs and cats is allowed only by legally operating businesses of breeding, reproduction and commerce of companion animals and the advertisements must mandatorily state everything required by Law N4830/2021. Ads for adoption of dogs and cats are allowed only if accompanied by the adoption hyperlink that has been posted on the National Platform for the Adoption of Stray Companion Animals. The person posting the advertisement bears the exclusive responsibility for complying with the provisions of the law.

9. Company Rights Regarding Deletion and Content Duration

Car.gr, upon determining that any information or content is unlawful or that these Terms and Conditions have not been duly observed, may—by providing to the affected service recipient the reasoning required under Article 17 of EU Regulation 2022/2065—impose any of the following measures: restriction, removal, disabling of access to, or demotion of the relevant content; suspension, termination, or other limitation of monetary payments; suspension or termination of the provision of the service, in whole or in part; and/or suspension or deletion of the recipient’s account.

The User fully and unconditionally acknowledges and accepts the Company’s exclusive right to terminate the use of, as well as access credentials to, the Site’s services, and to discontinue the availability of any content and information on the Site whenever the Company considers that such User has breached these Terms and Conditions.

More specifically, the User expressly and irrevocably accepts that Car.gr reserves the right, at any time and at its sole and absolute discretion, to discontinue the publication or posting of advertisements or other information on the Site whenever it deems that such content is, in any manner whatsoever, misleading and/or unlawful and/or false and/or offensive, or otherwise contrary to these Terms of Use. Furthermore, Car.gr reserves the right to prohibit the User or advertiser associated with such advertisement from posting or publishing any future advertisements (of any category or content) on the Car.gr website and to exclude them from all of its services for any period of time deemed necessary.

The User acknowledges and accepts that the publication of advertisements and services—depending on their respective category—has a limited duration, and that there may be delays in the delivery of products and services offered through the Site.

Car.gr also reserves the right to temporarily suspend or permanently delete the account of any merchant against whom complaints or reports of customer fraud have been filed, or who is found to be acting in a manner detrimental to the reputation of the Company.

In particular, in the event of a report or allegation of fraudulent activity (including, but not limited to, misappropriation of funds or malicious receipt of advance payments) involving a merchant, Car.gr retains full discretion to either temporarily suspend or permanently terminate the merchant’s account.

10. Personal Data

Car.gr covers the entirety of personal data and information, as well as the conditions governing the collection, processing, and management of users’ personal data through its website. Under no circumstances does this coverage extend to relationships between users of the Site and any third-party services that are not owned or controlled by the Company.

Car.gr collects personal data from the Site when a visitor registers for its services, when they use its services, when they browse the Site’s pages, and when they access any type of advertising or related programs hosted on the Site.

Each user is solely responsible for providing true, accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal information and for promptly notifying the Site of any changes thereto, supplying all necessary information to ensure that such data remains accurate, complete, and current at all times.

By registering for the Site’s services, posting advertisements, content, or links, or by using any of its services, the user grants Car.gr an irrevocable authorization to use the email address or telephone number provided by the user for the purpose of contacting them and informing them about matters related to the Site’s services, offers, notifications, and advertisements.

In the event that a transaction is charged to or reserved on a credit card, but Car.gr is not duly notified of the completion of the transaction through the prescribed procedures, Car.gr shall, until it receives verified notification, consider the transaction as not completed. The failure of the Company to receive such notification may be due to the fault of the Online Payment Processing Provider or the Internet Services Provider. The foregoing examples are indicative and do not constitute an exhaustive list of all instances where the Company bears no responsibility. Proof of payment, including invoices or receipts, shall be sent exclusively via email (and not in printed form) to the email address provided during the completion of the registration process for the services of Car.gr.

11. Payments

For the settlement of subscriptions, renewals, purchase of Credits, purchase of advertising displays, and similar transactions, Car.gr accepts payments via bank deposit, credit/debit card, and, for certain payments, via Iris electronic payment services.

The charge to the User’s credit or debit card shall be effected only after verification and validation of the card’s details and authenticity. The amount to be charged must be available and will be reserved upon confirmation of the order. To complete a purchase through the Website, the User must follow the on-screen instructions and fill in the required information in the designated purchase form, including the necessary credit card details. The User is solely responsible for the accuracy and correctness of the credit card information entered and must be the lawful holder of the card used for each transaction.

For security reasons, Car.gr does not store credit card details for future use. Accordingly, such information must be re-entered for each purchase, except in cases where payments are processed through the Stripe payment institution, in accordance with the terms and conditions of that institution. By entering the required credit card details, the User expressly declares that they are legally entitled to use the respective credit card.

Car.gr bears no responsibility for any unlawful use of credit cards. The provision of credit card details constitutes the User’s consent to charge the card for the corresponding purchase amount made through the Website. In the event that a credit card transaction is declined for any reason by the issuing bank or the card network—indicatively, due to exceeding the credit limit or suspicion of fraud—the purchase shall not be completed. Credit card transactions shall be processed through the Company’s Website using the services of the Online Payment Processing Provider with whom Car.gr maintains a contractual relationship.

Car.gr shall not be liable for failure to execute or process credit card charges or fund holds where such failure arises from the fault of the Online Payment Processing Provider or the Internet Service Provider. Indicative cases of non-liability include hardware or software malfunctions of the Payment Processing Provider. Should the Payment Processing Provider’s request server cease to function in accordance with its specifications—whether due to hardware failure (e.g., hard drive damage, power outage, memory malfunction) or software issues—the transaction shall not be executed.

The User declares that they have regular access to the internet and to their email account, and acknowledges and unreservedly accepts that electronic copies of invoices, notifications, or any other form of communication or documentation sent by Car.gr within the scope of the services or products provided shall be deemed equivalent to printed versions, carrying the same evidentiary value and legal effect. Car.gr reserves the right to modify, either generally or on a case-by-case basis, the pricing of its services without prior notice. Such modifications may have retroactive effect, potentially resulting in a reduction of the originally agreed duration of the services provided by Car.gr, and consequently, the early termination of such services. As a result, for instance, paid subscriptions may be terminated before their scheduled expiration.

Payment for each service (e.g., advertisement display for merchants or users, advertiser web pages, etc.) must be completed prior to the expiration of the respective service. Otherwise, the service will be deactivated, and advertisements or merchant pages may be excluded from search results.

At its sole and absolute discretion, Car.gr reserves the right—and the User fully and unconditionally accepts this—to display user advertisements exclusively on the User’s personal subpage or website (e.g., Car.gr/merchant), or solely within the publicly accessible listings of advertisements and services on Car.gr, or in both locations, without prior notice.

Car.gr may, from time to time, offer trial subscriptions for a specific duration, either free of charge or at a reduced price. The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine or modify subscription pricing and to withdraw or amend any trial or subscription at any time, without prior notice and without any liability.

The Company further reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to classify a user as either a “Private Individual” or a “Merchant.” For Private Individuals, Car.gr services are generally free of charge, except for the purchase of renewals (Credits), featured listings, or other premium services. Conversely, users designated by the Company as Merchants are required to pay for the services provided by Car.gr.

12. Links to Third-Party Sites

The Website (Car.gr) contains links, email addresses and advertisements that refer to third-party websites, the content and services of which are neither controlled by nor the responsibility of the Company, nor does the Company guarantee their continued or secure accessibility. The Company also disclaims any responsibility for external links that point to Car.gr. In the event of any issue arising from the use of such third-party websites, the User shall address the matter directly with the owner/operator of the relevant website, who alone bears all liability, including responsibility for remedying the problem.

In no circumstance shall Car.gr be deemed to accept or adopt the content or services of those third-party websites, or of websites linked from them, or to be connected with them in any way. Car.gr reserves the exclusive right, and the User/advertiser irrevocably accepts, at its sole discretion and at any time, without prior notice, to interrupt, block or permanently or temporarily delete any links hosted on its Website. Car.gr shall not be liable and shall not owe any compensation for any loss, damage or reputational harm arising from the deactivation of such services, or for any omissions or changes related to the display of third-party content on Car.gr.

Creation of a hyperlink to Car.gr is permitted provided that it is not used to mislead consumers or harm the Company’s image and provided that Car.gr’s content is not presented as part of another, unrelated website (for example, by means of framing or similar techniques).

13. Photographs and Videos; Copyright

The copyright and other intellectual property rights in the content and services of Car.gr—including, by way of example and not limitation, texts, listings, photographs, videos, designs, commercial and financial data, software, files of any kind, trademarks/logos, and the layout (look and feel) of Car.gr—are protected by Greek, EU and international intellectual property laws and belong exclusively to the Company. Such materials are made available to Users/visitors strictly for personal use. While Car.gr, acting in good faith and in accordance with commercial practice, makes every reasonable effort to ensure that the content and information published on Car.gr are accurate, the Company assumes no liability for their reliability or completeness.

Any copying, distribution, transmission, modification, resale, reproduction, publication, retransmission, circulation, public display, adaptation, presentation, or any other use or transformation of photographs uploaded to Car.gr, or any representation that misleads the public as to the true provider of such content, is prohibited. The User/member warrants and represents that the texts, photographs and videos they upload to the Website are their intellectual property and do not infringe or violate any third-party rights. The User further warrants that the photographs/images do not contain viruses, Trojan horses or other malicious code, nor pornographic, unlawful, obscene, offensive, racist or otherwise inappropriate material, and that they do not infringe third-party rights (including copyright or privacy rights). The Company accepts no liability for the content of such photographs or for any dispute arising from them.

Any reproduction, republication, uploading, announcement, dissemination or transmission, or any other use of Car.gr content for commercial or other purposes is permitted only with the prior written consent of Car.gr and of any other holder of the relevant intellectual property rights. Otherwise, such acts may constitute an infringement of Car.gr’s intellectual/industrial property rights, and the Company reserves the right to claim all resulting direct and consequential damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

By accessing and using Car.gr’s services, the User grants Car.gr a non-exclusive license to use the aforementioned photographs, videos, etc. (a license to exploit) and expressly and irrevocably agrees and acknowledges that Car.gr shall have, without temporal limitation and even after termination of the User’s receipt of the Company’s services for any reason, the right to commercially exploit (either by Car.gr or by third parties) all materials the User uploads and that are displayed on Car.gr (texts, photos, videos, etc.). Car.gr may use uploaded photographs/images/videos on its Website (including mobile versions) and its applications, in promotional materials (online or offline) and related publications, either edited or in their original form, and may post them on Car.gr’s official social media accounts at its discretion. The User hereby expressly and irrevocably grants Car.gr a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual and unconditional right and license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, sublicense, communicate and otherwise exploit the photographs, videos and texts at Car.gr’s discretion. By using Car.gr, the User automatically grants Car.gr, in consideration of the exposure of their goods or services, a license to exploit the photographs and videos in the manner described above, with the relevant advertisement number always indicated.

The User also accepts and acknowledges that the Company has the right to place watermarks and links inside photographs uploaded to the Website to prevent their unauthorized use, and to alter or change the dimensions of photographs (for example, by cropping or zooming) without prior consent of the advertiser.

Car.gr reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, without prior notice, to change the title or content of an advertisement where it deems it necessary (for example, where the content may mislead Users or for editorial clarity and accurate information). Car.gr also reserves the right not to publish images that are unrelated to the advertisement’s content or that constitute advertising.

14. Disclaimer of Liability

Content and information published on the Website are provided by Users/advertisers on their own initiative and responsibility and do not originate from Car.gr; they shall not be construed as verified or endorsed information or advice and do not constitute an encouragement by the Company to undertake any specific actions (e.g., purchase of a vehicle, parts, electronic goods, etc.).

Car.gr’s sole responsibility is to collect, process and upload content to the Website. Car.gr disclaims any and all liability and gives no warranties regarding the use, accuracy, completeness, availability, validity, quality or suitability of the Website’s content, pages and services, the User’s communication with third parties advertised on the Website, or the timeliness of information concerning listings, advertisements or services published on the Website. Car.gr provides no express or implied warranties of merchantability, title, non-infringement or fitness for a particular purpose.

Car.gr accepts no liability with respect to the content of advertisements, information and advertisements (of any category or form) uploaded to its Website, nor for the User’s communication with third parties who advertise or are promoted on Car.gr.

Accordingly, each User uses the services and information provided on the Website at their own initiative and assumes full responsibility for verifying and confirming such information. Car.gr shall not be liable for any issues arising from any commercial transaction between the User and any third-party advertiser, nor does Car.gr endorse any opinion contained in any User content.

By accepting these Terms of Use, you agree that each advertiser/advertiser is solely responsible and assumes full liability with respect to the advertisement (including any guarantees and commitments made by the advertiser). Car.gr is not a reseller. Complaints or claims relating to advertisements and services (for example, regarding a proposed special/promotional price, policy or specific requests made by Customers) are to be handled by the advertiser. Car.gr disclaims liability for such complaints, claims and responsibilities concerning products.

Car.gr may, but is under no obligation to, monitor, review or process User content. In all cases, the Company reserves the right to remove or disable access to a User or any User content for any reason, including, without limitation, User content which, in the Company’s sole discretion, violates its agreements or principles. Are There Other Cookies Created During My Visit to Car.gr?

Further information and available opt-out options for Google Analytics can be found online. Car.gr complies with Google AdWords’ Interest-Based Advertising Policy and its restrictions on sensitive categories. Specifically:

  • Car.gr uses remarketing with Google Analytics for online advertising.
  • Car.gr and third-party vendors, including Google, use both first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to inform, optimize, and serve advertisements based on users’ previous visits to its website.
  • Car.gr and these third-party vendors also use such cookies to generate reports on how Car.gr’s ad impressions, other uses of advertising services, and interactions with such impressions and services are related to visits to the Car.gr website.
  • Car.gr may use data from Google’s interest-based advertising or third-party audience data (such as age, gender, and interests) together with Google Analytics data.

We also collect non-personally identifiable information in order to improve our services. Part of the aggregate and specific information collected may be shared with accredited dealers of our website to inform them about the popularity and performance of their pages or listings.
